First project 86 84-top roof installation-1. Make sure the front cone/plate Assembly is loose enough to move manually. 2. set the roof on the car and tighten the screws from rear Center. If the screws are being hard to start, check again to make sure the roof is centered and has a ceiling of second person push to the back of the car to help compress the new weatherstrip. 3. tighten the screws from rear Locator Outer two on each side. Rear of roof is done now. 4. fasten the front mounting bolts. You may need to move the plate Assembly around to try to align and tighten the screws from front mounting with another hand. 5. Press cones with thin 1 installation key of 1/8. 6. Loosen the front centre mounting screws. Tighten the screws in front of paying attention to when the front of the lens of the roof makes a contact with the weatherstrip, windshield. The front edge should only put about 1/8 pressure weatherstrip proper sealing as front bolts are tightened. Too much pressure can cause other problems, cracks or deformations. Very little pressure can result in air or water leaks.
